Waipio Valley

This mile wide valley is located along the Hamakua Coast on the northeast shore. It's surrounded on both sides by cliffs reaching 2000 feet. You'll find hundreds of waterfalls including the Hi`ilawe. The area is home to many important temples and burial grounds.

Volcanoes

Kohala is the oldest volcano in Hawaii. It is currently extinct. Mauna Kea is the tallest volcano on the island.
